A Farewell To 2021...
It is very cliched to mention that every year brings so many lessons with it. Maybe at the end of each year I reflect upon those learnings a little bit but gradually they fade away from my memory and this is a loop.
The reason behind this infinite loop is that I never considered to write those lessons somewhere. This time I have decided to break out from that loop.
This blog will be a reminder of all my learnings from 2021.
So long blog alert…….
Deep Work:- The definition of “Hard Work” is relative in my opinion. According to my definition I worked really hard during my 12th. I was immersed in my studies & what I did was “Deep Work”. But then my efforts were no longer resonating with that definition of “Hard Work”. This year, I have realized it in a hard way. Now I am trying to push my limits to bring back that 17 year old Shreya.
Relationship With Risk:- After scanning my life I have noticed that I have never taken any risk in my life. In our life span, 20s are the best times to take calculated risks. If I want to achieve something great then I need to put myself out of my comfort zone. I need to break my safety net & become “risk friendly”.
Dearth Of Discipline:- I can assure that I would love myself 10x more if I would be disciplined. This is one regret of mine that instead of realizing it I have not been able to bring discipline in my life. My 2022 will surely tick this check box.
Time Tracking:- Clearly it’s a subset of discipline. I think attention has become so precious nowadays that it’s a very crucial decision to make where should I invest my attention & time. Ambani, Adani, Musk, Pichai everyone has 24 hrs but lack of time management skills is one of the factors which stops me from getting the most out of that 24 hrs.
Being Bibliophile:- I don’t know how much reading will do justice to the word “Bibliophile” but I know that I need to read more. Reading is a form of exploring this universe of which we’re a very tiny part. There is so much to learn. I have discovered the essence of reading very lately in life. So not for the entitlement but to explore myself & the universe I wanna make reading a daily habit.
So this was it….The Last Blog Of 2021.
